"I'm what the world considers to be a phenomenally successful man. And I've failed much more than I've succeeded. And each time I fail, I get my people together, and I say, "Where are we going?" And it starts to get better." - Calvin Trager
Just a brief stop off in Amsterdam on the way back to the U.S. We're weary, but feeling incredibly blessed by the past week ... one that, as Bishop Smith said, felt like it took "forever and an instant". Lots and lots to process. Also lots and lots of pictures, many of which will make their way to this space over the next couple days along with some of the stories.
In the meantime, I've got to catch a plane to Detroit. Home around 12:30 pm St. Louis time and then coaching Schroedter's first T-ball practice afterschool! I can't wait!
Thanks to everyone for all your prayers and support. Much more to come.

"Christ's example is being
demeaned by the church if they ignore the new leprosy,
which is AIDS. The church is the sleeping giant here.
If it wakes up to what's really going on in the rest
of the world, it has a real role to play. If it doesn't,
it will be irrelevant."
- Bono
